Programme Manager
Job summary
Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Programme Manager to support significant transformation programmes in Durham and Tees Valley: the development of a Neighbourhood / Place-Based Model of Mental Health Care and the implementation of a 24/7 Neighbourhood Community Mental Health Centre.
These programmes sit at the heart of our ambition to shift care closer to communities, improve access, reduce inequalities, and deliver more integrated, person-centred mental health support in partnership with primary care, local authorities, and the voluntary and community sector.
**You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role.**Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for maintaining programme momentum, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring alignment with national policy, Integrated Care System priorities and Trust transformation objectives. This includes supporting stakeholder engagement and consultation, developing clear reporting for boards and system partners, and ensuring that delivery is evidence-based, outcome-focused and responsive to local population needs. Strong partnership working will be essential, particularly with Primary Care Networks, local authorities, voluntary and community sector partners, and other NHS providers.
We are looking for an individual with substantial experience of managing complex transformation programmes within health or public services, ideally in mental health or community-based care. You will bring strong programme management discipline, excellent communication and influencing skills, and a commitment to co-production, inclusion and reducing health inequalities. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new model of mental health care that improves access, continuity and outcomes for local communities, while contributing to one of the Trust's most ambitious transformation agendas.
