Metabolic Specialist Nurse
Job summary
In this role, you'll provide hands-on patient care on a daily basis, bringing expert knowledge across the full patient journey -- from admission through to discharge. Your clinical expertise will actively support the development of best practice, ensuring care is consistently safe, effective, and centred around the needs of each individual.
You'll offer visible clinical and managerial leadership, guiding nursing and support staff to deliver evidence-based, patient-focused care of the highest quality. Working in line with Trust policies and procedures, you'll take responsibility for maintaining excellent standards while continuously seeking opportunities to improve services.
Using clinical audit, research, supervision, and teaching, you'll play a key role in monitoring performance and driving improvements in care delivery, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
The post is primarily based within an outpatient setting, with clinics delivered at Salford Care Organisation. The role also includes an outreach element, with travel required to clinics in Bradford and Manchester, offering variety and the opportunity to influence care across multiple locations.
